Research from Which? has shown that cash usage in the UK has declined during the COVID-19 pandemic, but why is this the case?

Rather than it being the case of less people spending money, Which? actually found that 34% of people had experienced 'cash rejection', where their cash has been refused as a payment method during a transaction.
